Despite the fact I told myself that I would try and blog regularly, I think its been about a month since I've last posted. *sigh* well, that wedding that I went to was over a month ago, I think. I had a good time actually, despite the fact I didn't know anybody. It was a nice ceremony (though a bit formal) and the reception took place in a windmill. Yes, a windmill. It had great speeches, nice food and dancing, with the kind of music you only tend to get at a wedding. So lots of ballads, love songs and cheesy dance music. Woo hoo! Its where you're allowed to dance like a moron! The highlight of the dancing had to be a dance-off between Chris and Michael, but unfortunately I don't have the photos of that (that's a work in progress!)
I've realised, that since that time, a lot of things have happened, like my parents going away for five days, leaving my brothers and I to fend for ourselves which was an eye opener (its pseudo independent living) seeing "Spiderman 3" (which had good action sequences, but a bit too long) and "My Best Friend" (which was funny, and a sign I'm becoming addicted to French films), going to a trivia night where a skulling contest was confused with a spelling contest *lol*, and organising the first BAMBII events for the year as president. Organising the BAMBII events was very stressful (to the point I was breaking down in tears, which was very, very embarrasing!) but the lesson I've learnt from that is to delegate, delegate, delegate! Or try to anyway. Oh, and lab work as well, it fits in there somewhere.
But I wanted to write about last night, I went to karaoke :) It was different to previous times in that it was with big group of people (about 18) and I didn't really know any of them. That's a bit of a problem, as when you're with a group of people you don't know very well, its a bit off putting. Especially since this group was a bunch of excellent karaoke singers. However, it is offset by the fact that I will not see most of them again. But I think I out yelled everyone, with Jon Bon Jovi's "Always" *lol* But it was better afterwards, we went for dinner in Chinatown, and it was nice to talk about random things in a smaller group, like ordering mongolian beef vs lamb, and singing the banana ad jingle ba-na-na-na-na-na-na-na/ make those bodies sing....But I think the funniest moment of the night was when we were heading home. Adri and I were heading to my car which was parked at QV, and I was also giving a lift for Freddy and Carlo to their car. They were all getting in the car, when Freddy opens the driver's door and pulls down the drivers seat to get into the back seat, not realising that my car is a five door. It was made even funnier as Carlo was getting into the backseat from the back door on the other side at the same time *lmoa*
Enough procrastinating! Back to work I go...its the start of another week...
